Atiku Abubaka’s Son

former Vice President of Nigeria and one-time presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar took to Twitter last week to reveal that one of his sons has been diagnosed with the coronavirus. The son, who has not been named, is receiving treatment at the Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja.

Atiku Abubakar could not contain his worries as he asked the nation to keep his son in his prayers. He also stated that the coronavirus problem was real and encouraged fellow Nigerians to stay safe. Numerous Twitter users, including Nigerian celebrities, reached out to comfort Abubakar.

Davido’s Fiancée

Last week, Davido used his Twitter account to share the news of his fiancée Chioma Rowland testing positive for COVID-19. The singer revealed that he recently came back from the USA after cancelling his tour and Chioma returned from London with their son.

Davido, his family, and members of his crew decided to get tested for coronavirus. Chioma’s test came back positive, but Davido said his fiancée and their baby are doing just fine and are not displaying any symptoms.

Buhari’s Chief Of Staff

One of the top aides to President Muhammadu Buhari, his chief of staff Abba Kyari, has tested positive to coronavirus last week. The media reports that Kyari is in a serious condition and has been transferred from Abuja to Infectious Disease Treatment Centre in Lagos. Three of Kyari’s staffers have also tested positive to the disease.

Others Undergoing Self Isolation At The Moment

  • Banky W and his wife Adesua Etomi, who previously attended the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award;
  • Mercy Eke, the star of Big Brother Naija, also entered self-isolation after participating in the AMVCA;
  • Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, another guest of the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award, has been self-isolating at home ever since the ceremony took place.
