Suicide: Uber driver, jumps into Lagos Lagoon

There was tension this Saturday on the popular Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos after a 22-year-old man ordered an Uber driver to stop for him on the bridge before jumping into the lagoon.

The young man, identified as Daibo Toju Davies, alighted from the Uber Taxi, a Toyota Corola car, before plunging into the lagoon.

It was gathered that he had activated the Uber to convey him from Mercy Hospital, Gbagada.

Investigation also revealed that the victim informed the Uber driver of having a stomach upset. The driver stopped at his request. His passenger then alighted from the vehicle and then jumped off the bridge.

Fufagist gathered that the victim’s affidavit on the birth certificate showed that he was born July 22, 1998 and resided at 17 Sosanya Street Gbagada Soluyi, Lagos.

Although, circumstance which led to his suicide was still sketchy, it was only learnt that he complained of having stomach issues before the suicide. In the boot of the Uber car was his luggage.
